The field of nursing can be very highly competitive. Getting into a nursing program can take a lot of hard work and a great deal of persistence. In order to increase your chances of getting admitted to a nursing program you will want to make sure that you fill out the application very carefully. If you fill out the application improperly and leave things out you may miss out on your chance to gain admissions to a nursing program.

First all of all make sure that you have all the right forms. If you don’t have a copy on hand you can always write to the school in question. They may have forms that you can even download from your home right on their website. If you don’t see such forms on the website write or call the school directly. The application should consist of several forms typically from five to ten pages in the total.

Once you have the forms in your hand you want to read them carefully. Think about having more than one copy of the forms in your hand. You can use the first copy to practice and the second to carefully fill out. Take care with every single part of the application. Each part should be read as carefully as possible.

Use a computer or ball point pen to fill out the form. Make sure that you don’t leave anything out. Be sure to highlight your experience in the field of nursing, your training as well as your academic background. If you want to gain admissions to an LPN program or an RN degree program you should indicate your prior experiences in the health care field if possible.

Once you’ve read each section and filled it out you can then mail it back. Make sure that you have the correct address. Make equally sure that you have filled out all parts.
